Every summer it seems that I get the blues around the end of July and it lasts until it begins to cool off in September. I know it is natural to get the blues when it is hot and humid but it is really a strain to me to be sad, I am a very happy person and this really takes it out of me. I guess I need a vacation to a cool spot but then who would water my plants and feed my dogs. I guess I am stuck here being cranky until it cools off in a couple of months.

Hurricane Dolly is about to come on shore in south Texas, the reports I am hearing say the biggest threat is not from the wind but from the rain. They have been saying that if they get the amount of rain they are expecting in south Texas the levies that protect them from the Rio Grande river will not hold and there will be major flooding. The levee systems we have in place here in America are old and do not work. It seems like the government needs to get another system in place to protect us from flooding rivers.

As I was sleeping last night I got jolted awake due to a tornado warning, that is one sound you do not want to hear in your sleep or being awake. We got lucky again and it was way south of us, one of these days we are not going to be lucky and it will be right over us again. We have been very lucky this year and they have hit all around us, here’s knocking on wood that they keep going around us.

This is spring? It is flat cold outside, yesterday was warm and windy today is cold, I guess Mother nature can not make up her mind about what season she wants.

I am so ready for some warm weather, no more cold until November at the earliest.

I have been fishing only once I am ready to go again soon.
