Fancy dress

Posted by: Larry   in Entertainment, Fashion, Local, Recreation, Shopping

The city of Nashville has a fancy dress up ball each summer and we have attended every year since we moved here, and this year we are pulling out all the stops, my wife has selected a Fancy Dress for the ball and I am going black tie.

We have selected our costumes from Fancy-Dress.com they have an outstanding selection and the prices meet our budget, which is pretty tight right now with prices being so high for gas and other products. This is going to be the party of the year and I can not wait to get there.

Another loss of a great player

Posted by: Larry   in Local, News, Sports

Today Alexander Radulov signed to play in his home land of Russia even though he is signed for 1 more year with the Nashville Predators. I am not sure how they will get around that signed contract or if the Predators will push the issue. The new Russian League has agreed not to steal NHL players but this is a sure stealing of a player to me. The next few days will tell how this agreement between the Russian League and the NHL will turn out, I think it is going to get interesting before it is over.

Loss of 2 of my players

Posted by: Larry   in Local, Sports

The Nashville Predators have decided to go another direction and have gotten rid of 3 players from last years team, two of them were players I really liked, Chris Mason and Darcy Hordichuck were two of my favorite players the Predators have ever had. It really depressed me to see them practically give these two fine players away. The third player Marek Zidlicky was a good trade he was very weak on defense and his offense has been very weak the last two years. This is going to be a very interesting year to say the least.

Big trades

Posted by: Larry   in Entertainment, Life, Local, Sports

Over the weekend the Nashville Predators made a couple of huge trades and help their draft getting the players they wanted or so they say. So we are one step closer to the start of the hockey season and I still do not have tickets for the upcoming season. I have decided not to buy my season tickets and just take in a few games as the season goes. I was really disappointed in the team last year and will not buy a season ticket to support them,

Penguins stay alive

Posted by: Larry   in Entertainment, Life, Local, Sports, TV

It took 3 overtimes to decide, but the Pittsburgh Penguins stayed alive last night in the Stanley Cup Finals. It was a very exciting game and I was pleased to see them play so well on the stage for the world to see. This has been an exciting series and I as a hockey fan am glad it has been. I am looking forward to next year and the Nashville Predators should have a great season too.
