That time again

Posted by: Larry   in Couch Musings, Life, Money matters, Nature

Every month when it rolls around time to pay the bills I get a knot in my stomach. I hate to give my money away to anyone for anything. It gnaws at me, bothers me for days to put a quarter in a parking meter, I guess you might say I am cheap, tight, or thrifty I guess they all mean the same. I save money for rainy days and when it rains I stay home cause I do not want to go out and get wet.

PS 3

Posted by: Larry   in Couch Musings, Electronics and playstation, Life

I have been messing around with the idea of upgrading my play station 2 and getting a play station 3. I wonder if the same games work on both or if I will have to buy all new games that is the deciding factor to me anyways.

If the PS 2 games work on the PS 3 I am in. If not I will have to do some serious thinking about if I want to spend several thousand dollars to replace all the PS 2 games that I have.

I do know that I do not want any of the other systems out there I am sold on the Play station, I have had one since 1998. I guess it is a comfort zone thing.

Weathermen and Kroger

Posted by: Larry   in Couch Musings, Weather

I have a theory that every time the weathermen say the word snow Kroger gives them $50 bucks. Since we do not get a lot of snow the weathermen tend to play it up to the hilt, thus the theory that Kroger is greasin the skids to keep people running to the store for milk bread and eggs, just in case we get that once a century snow that paralyzes the city for  a week.

There are so many reasons to hate the state of Texas so I will only pick on Dallas today. Texas is so very easy to abuse and so much fun.

The top 4  reasons I hate Dallas

1. Dallas Cowboys

2. Dallas Stars

3. Mike Modano

4. Did I say the Dallas Cowboys?

Enough said.

My Theory on Red Cars

Posted by: Larry   in Couch Musings

Every time I am trying to merge into traffic, if a red car is coming I wait to let it pass, for safety’s sake. The red car drivers are less likely to slow down or yield. Red cars go too fast, lose control on wet roads and curves, and run more traffic lights than other cars.

It is my theory that people who drive red cars and trucks have an I Q level of at least 20 points less than normal people.

Take your own survey. The next dozen or so accidents that you drive by, make a note of how many accidnet scenes involve a red car or truck. Around here, 9 out of 10 wrecks involve a red vehicle. That’s not just coincidence.
